The "Gold Rush" Rush!

It's that time of year!  Rush to stake your claim to this year's supply of "Gold Rush" apples and varietal cider.

PLEASE NOTE: Market season is nearly over!

Please submit orders at least 2 days in advance of your

desired pickup day.

The last apples of the season, Gold Rush are fast becoming a cult classic. Some fans have claimed that they are "The Best Apples on the Planet"! They have a fantastic crunch, sugary-tart flavor, do not brown much when you cut them, and store for several months in the fridge.  They make for most excellent fresh eating, prize-winning pies, amazing applesauce and apple crisps, and the most exquisite varietal cider.

To stake your claim, you must get your order in ASAP, as demand is growing by leaps and bounds!

20 lb. bags of Gold Rush can be ordered for delivery over a two-week period various locations (dates listed below). At $35 per bag, you save $5 over buying the same amount by the pound.

Notes about fresh Gold Rush:  They'll come packaged in a hefty 20 lb. bag.  That may hold anywhere from about 40 to 60 or more apples, depending on the size. For best keeping, keep them as cold as possible without freezing.  The ideal location is the refrigerator, but some folks have had success in a cold basement, cellar or foyer.  Please note that as Gold Rush 'age', they will get a bit sweeter.  They may also shrivel a bit....but that bit of shriveling around the skin amazingly does not affect the flavor or texture...they'll still be crisp and delicious!  Stock up on them for fresh eating and for holiday cooking.

Varietal Gold Rush cider is available one week only (dates listed below), and can be ordered in 1/2 gallon($3) or 1 gallon ($6)bottles.

SORRY, GOLD RUSH CIDER WEEK IS OVER.  It'll be available again one week next year (to be announced)

Notes about Gold Rush Cider:  Super-light in color, this varietal cider has a luscious sweet flavor with tart undertones.  Some have called it "The Nectar of the Gods". It is excellent for drinking cold, making mulled hot cider, and makes prize-winning hard cider for those of you who like to make your own.  Stock up on this amazing nectar by making some room in your freezer and freezing a few bottles for use over winter and the holidays (just be sure to remove a bit from the bottle prior to freezing to allow for expansion).  Then, just thaw and enjoy!

Check your calendars for the best pickup date for you, make a note of the pickup date and location so you don't forget, and fill in the order form below. (You'll pay us on pickup day...we take cash or personal checks made out to "North Star Orchard")

Please Note:  Placing an order is not a guarantee that you will get Gold Rush apples or Gold Rush cider.  Apples are sensitive to extreme weather, insects, frost, and other hazards which cannot be predicted.  While we expect to have enough crop to fill all of our orders, if something unpredictable happens between now and when the apples are picked and sorted, we may not be able to fill all of the orders. In that case, we will fill orders in first-ordered, first-filled manner.  So, the earlier you get your order in, the more likely you'll get your Gold Rush!  If we are unable to fill your order for any reason, we will let you know before your chosen pickup day.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us, and thanks again for your support!
