The following items are made with only North Star Orchard fruit:

Asian Pear Butter: A rich, delicious spread to use on toast, bagels, crackers, etc. Made only with Asian pears and Asian pear cider. No sugar added. Keeps for months if refrigerated after opening. Usually available all season at market. $6.00 ea.

Apple Butter: Delightfully rich! Wonderful on toast, peanut butter sandwiches, etc. Made only with apples and apples cider. No sugar added. Keeps for months if refrigerated after opening. Usually available all season at market. $6.00 ea.

Peach Butter: A taste of summer! Peachy flavor, spiced with cinnamon, and lightly sweetened with sugar. Use as you would any fruit spread or jelly. Usually available all season at market. $3.50 ea.

Applesauce: Delicious and fruity, with a wonderful pink color due to the apple peel being left on during cooking. Makes a great side-dish, snack or baking ingredient. Use within 2 weeks of opening. Usually available all season at market. $2.50 ea.

Apple and Asian Pear Cider: Made fresh in season (Sept. - Nov.) with only our unique varieties of apples and Asian pears. Most batches are made with a blend of apples or pears, but we do occasionally make a varietal cider from Golden Russet or Gold Rush apples. $3.00 for 1/2 gallon.

Several years ago, in response to growing concerns across the country, we decided to start pasteurizing our cider. The method we use (flash pasteurization), heats the cider and cools it back down very quickly, so that none of the good flavor is lost.

We do not add preservatives, so please refrigerate our cider. Use within 7 to 10 days if refrigerated, or freeze either cider (after pouring a little out to allow for expansion during freezing). Frozen cider will keep for months!

Other items:

Honey: Look for it again soon! Honey harvest is usually around August, so check with us then to see if any is available. In a normal 'good' year, we'll have honey for sale in August and September.

Veggies: Yep, we grow a wide range of vegetables! If you have specific questions about certain types or varieties, please email us. I'll try to get some nice pics and add a 'Veggie' page to our lineup for next year!
